沈阳二中中加班成立于2007年，是经辽宁省教育厅和加拿大新斯科舍省教育厅共同批准的国际公立高中文凭项目。中加班原版引进加拿大高中课程体系，由加拿大注册教师用英语教授英语文学、数学、物理等加拿大高中课程。中加班实行寄宿制管理，学生注册中加两国学籍，成绩合格的毕业生可获得中加两国高中毕业文凭。全程英语授课和与北美大学对接的高中课程可以使学生顺利通过语言关、免预科进入加拿大和欧美大学就读。至今，已有八百多名学生从中加班毕业并进入加拿大、美国和世界其它国家的著名大学学习。中加班秉承“融东西方文化之精髓，提供最优质的教育”的办学宗旨,培养既具有深厚的中国文化底蕴又具有全球视野的国际化人才。为了实现这一目标，学校力求为每一名学生提供所需的知识和技能，使之成为一个独立的学习者、一个对所在团体有贡献的成员和一个负责任的世界公民。
