About ESSEC Business School

ESSEC Business School’s master programs used to be ranked top 10 in the world by various ranking institutions and media. The “Global BBA” program is ranked #1 undergraduate business program in France.

It is a truly global learning environment. The School receives around 500 exchange students from 170 partner institutions representing 45 countries, including UC Berkeley, Texas A&M, U of Michigan, King’s College, U of Warwick, U of Bath, Peking University, etc.

It has 3 campuses located in France near Paris, Singapore, and Morocco of Africa.

Program details and benefits for students

After fulfilling the graduation requirements of both universities, the students will receive "Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing" from CityU and "Global Bachelor of Business Administration (GBBA)" from ESSEC Business School, France respectively.

CityU students accepted to the joint degree program will study in France for 2 years and may attend summer classes in Morocco.

Students will develop a worldwide network and enhance intercultural competence in preparation for their future careers.

Curriculum designs

Years 1 and 2: Accepted CityU students study at CityU and complete French I and II as free electives

Year 3 and 4: Accepted CityU students study at ESSEC Business School, France. Students will have a 6-month full-time internship in either sem A or B of year 4. It can be in any country.

A dissertation is mandatory for this joint degree program. Students will plan and start in year 3 and complete it by the end of year 4. It can be supervised by the professor(s) in either institution.

Financial arrangement

Accepted CityU students in the program will pay the CityU tuition and fees only.

An estimated 15,000€ per year (assuming a 12-month stay in a year) is required for living expenses in France, which includes accommodation, food, transportation, and personal expenses, etc.

Scholarships will be provided for accepted CityU students.
