On 13 October, Mr. Hao TANG, Chairman of Guang Dong Soong Ching Ling Foundation  (Soong’s Foundation), and Ms. Zhen-ni YANG, Honorary Vice-Chairman of Soong’s Foundation and Director of "Youth Arts Education Committee of Soong’s Foundation", visited ASJ (Dongguan) to observe the development of youth Arts education in the school and to discuss with the school authorities about the public welfare course of Arts education.

2023年10月13日，广东省宋庆龄基金会（以下简称“省宋基会”）主席唐豪先生，名誉副主席、“青美会”主任杨珍妮女士一行到访东莞暨大港澳子弟学校，实地调研本校青少年美育工作开展情况，并与校方开展座谈交流，讨论有关美育公益课堂进校园等事宜。

Chief Principal Mr. Jonathan LAI warmly welcomed the guests and noted that the arrival of the Soong's Foundation delegation was a great encouragement to our students and teachers. Chairman TANG introduced the long history of cooperation between Jinan University and Soong's Foundation before encouraging the school to continue to focus on the Arts education for young people. 

赖炳华总校长对唐豪主席和杨珍妮主任一行的到来表示热烈欢迎，他表示省宋基会一行的到来是对我校师生莫大的鼓励。唐豪主席介绍了暨南大学与省宋基会的合作渊源，殷切鼓励校方继续做好青少年美育工作。

During the discussion, our DSE Visual Arts teacher, Mr. Shi-jian YE, presented to the guests the development of the school's Visual Arts course and the students' works. Director Yang highly appreciated the school's teaching environment, educational philosophy and practical work style before introducing the main contents of the Foundation's "Arts Education Public Welfare Course in Schools" project, after which both sides discussed the specific details of the project's implementation.

在座谈交流过程中，本校视觉艺术老师叶师健老师向来宾展示了学校视觉艺术课程的开展情况以及学生作品。杨珍妮女士对学校的校园环境、教育理念以及实干精神表示高度赞赏，同时介绍了该会“美育公益课堂进校园”的主要内容，随后双方深入讨论了落实项目的具体细节。

Soong’s Foundation's public welfare course has developed vigorously and has a deep foundation, inviting famous domestic artists to come to the school from time to time to share their knowledge and techniques with teachers and students, Soong’s Foundation plans to promote regular lectures on art topics and workshops on traditional folk handicrafts in our schools so that students can participate in them and get the inculcation of art. 

This is very beneficial to enrich the cultural life of young people in schools and guide them to understand the excellent traditional Chinese culture. After the exchange, both parties agreed to work together to educate people through art and improve the artistic qualities of our students.

据了解，省宋基会的“美育公益课堂进校园”项目发展蓬勃、底蕴深厚，时常邀请国内知名的艺术名家走进校园为师生传经送宝，省宋基会亦计划在本校定期开展艺术专题讲座及各项民间传统工艺工作坊，让学生们参与其中，得到艺术的熏陶。这对丰富青少年校园文化生活，引导青少年了解中民优秀传统文化大有裨益。双方在交流过后达成共识，将一起并肩以美育人，共同努力提高本校学莘莘学子的艺术素养。
