Our Mission
Committed to growing your child’s potential
Nurture Pods believes that every child has a fundamental right to education, and must be given the opportunity to achieve and maintain an acceptable level of learning.
Every child has his or her own unique potential and pledge to equip these children with the necessary tools they would need to achieve their fullest potential.
At Nurture Pods, we understand that parents might want to get directly involved in their child’s therapy sessions
As such, you can count on us to provide sessions that would allow you to participate in your child’s learning journey, establishes decentralized and participatory mechanisms for the child, child’s school and parents.
We believe the involvement and communication between the centre, the child and parents is the key to achieving success for the child in mainstream society.
Our Logo
The three rings from left to right, represents the Centre, the Parents and the Child. The lower front tail marks the beginning of a learning journey and the upper back tail marks the child’s independence, broken from the bonds which nature bestowed upon him.
The white symbolises a renewal, whereby the child is well-equipped to start facing future challenges on his own. The white is present in all three rings of the logo to signify the integration of the child into mainstream society can only be made possible together with the support of the parents and the centre.
Green symbolises growth and continuity. Just like peas in a peapod, children needs to be continuously nurtured and showered with love, care and attention. From the time your child first join us, there will be progress and development in your child. This is represented by the overall ascending position of the logo.
Finally, the three green overlapping rings symbolises the commitment and cooperation between the centre, the parents and the child to eventually present the child the gift to live better in the community.
Our Mascot
To compliment the name of the centre, we created our very own cartoon to further distinguish ourselves.
Our mascot shows the faces of three children wrapped in the comfort of a peapod. The three faces are of different age, gender and nationalities, which accurately depicts the profiles of children enrolled in our centre.
The colourful mascot portrays the curious, cheerful and unassuming behaviour of children which never fail to invoke the interest of parents and children alike.

Treatment for Autism
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is defined as a developmental disability that affects the way individuals socialise, behave, and interact with one another. As autism is presented on a spectrum, there are varying levels of severity in symptoms presented among individuals.
The goal of autism treatment is to improve the child’s ability to function and mitigate their symptoms in their development and learning. Treatment may start as early as in preschool to improve their skills, but it is also never too late to begin. It is important there is no one-solution-fits-all to approach the treatment of ASD. Treatments that work may vary from person to person. Each autism intervention or treatment should be individualised according to the ability of the child and may change over time. We explore some evidence-based treatments that have been proven effective to treat ASD.
Centre for Child Development & Early Intervention
The Centre provides both individualised and group based early interventions for children with special needs. Using TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and Communication related Children) technique, an evident-based approach developed by The University of North Carolina, the centre aims to uncover each child’s strength and work towards achieving daily-skills, academic and social successes.
With a small teacher to children ratio, the centre also provides transition/ school readiness programme in which we aim to prepare the child for transition from SPED to mainstream schools. Our staff are also trained to use techniques employed in Handwriting Without Tears, an effective programme to help children with special needs to develop good handwriting skills.
At Nurture Pods, our staff go through regular trainings and supervisions to ensure quality of interventions administered. Our goal is to help every child develop into an individual with all-rounded abilities, who is able to live independently and have a good quality of life.
Educational Therapy
Specialized form of intervention designed to help individuals who are experiencing learning challenges or developmental delays.
Our trained educators will identify specific individualized strategies to help your child build necessary skills to enhance their learning progress.
Home-Based Intervention
Early Intervention Programme
Our Early Intervention Programme is an intensive, one-to-one programme that helps a child learn in the comforts of his/her own home. This home-based intervention programme is based on the principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) – the most effective type of therapy in helping children with special needs, according to extensive research evidence. We also have transition programmes to help children build skills necessary for mainstream education.
ABA Parent Training
At Nurture Pods, we believe that parents and care-givers should participate actively in the child’s learning. Our Home Based Intervention includes ABA parent and care-giver training, so you are empowered to teach your child various skills that are useful in everyday life like communication and independent-living skills.
School Shadow Support
Our School Shadow Support intervention aims to help your child assimilate into the school environment while achieving both academic and social independence. This School Shadow Support intervention consists of supervision, support as well as a series of visuals and reward systems.
Shadowing helps to make the school a friendlier place for your child. Shadowing the child at school can help him or her develop appropriate behaviours in school, strengthen academic ability, and build up social interaction skills amongst peers.
We believe that special needs children can benefit from having an inclusive mainstream education to aid in their development and growth. To maximize the benefits of inclusive mainstream education, the child must receive the support and services that he or she needs.
Social Skills Class
Social skills classes at Nurture Pods are designed in accordance to the evidence-based methodologies of Social Thinking® and Secret Agent Society.
We believe social competencies will develop when the underlying social cognitions and communication abilities are addressed. Hence in every class, social cognitions and language skills will be regularly practiced as we introduce a variety of weekly social skills themes.
