在IB课程体系中,每一位中学生在MYP中学项目的最后一年,都需要完成一项至关重要的学业任务——个人设计项目。自定主题、形式不限,这项以学生为主导的项目,强调着“个人”,它赋予了学生独特的机会去深度探究个人兴趣、思索学业或职业生涯、展开调查研究、实践所学、发现问题、解决问题、反思自我,从而延伸学术的深度和广度。
In the final year of the MYP programme, every IB student is required to complete a significant academic assignment - Personal Project. Self-designed and open-ended, this student-driven project emphasizes 'personal', which provides students with a unique opportunity to explore and inquire their personal interests, rethink their academic life or future career, conduct research, practice, identify and solve problems, and reflect on themselves, thus extending the depth and breadth of their academic endeavors.
十年级的Logan,来自法国,是TWIS建校的第一批学生的其中一员,曾就读于日本、阿曼、泰国、中国等地的国际学校。最近,他在个人设计项目中完成了一项前所未有的挑战——自学3D打印技术,设计建模,产出、推广、售卖,并站在演讲台和作品展览前,向全社区展示他所创造的3D商品。与此同时,他撰写了一份长达4000词的论文来阐述个人设计项目的学习目标、过程、挑战与反思。一起来看看他所亲历的项目故事。
Logan, a 10th grader from France, was one of the first students at TWIS. He has been living and studying at international schools in various countries such as Japan, Oman, Thailand and China. Recently, he has completed an extraordinary challenge in his personal project where he applied 3D modeling and 3D technology to design, model, produce, promote and sell his merchandise. During the process, he completed a 4,000-word paper and delivered a speech in public, where he showcased the 3D merchandise he created and shared his insights about his initial idea, process, challenges and reflections on impact.
