上周五（9月4日），我们举行了返校交流会，这是开学以来的第一次家校活动。许多家长从百忙之中抽空来参加当天下午的活动。
Last Friday (September 4th), we had the Back-to-School Presentation which was the first home school event since the new school term started. Many parents took time out of their busy schedules to attend this afternoon event.
尽管班主任和助教老师在上周为教学忙得不可开交，他们仍花尽心思给家长们准备一个精彩又丰富的交流会。学生在这场活动中也担当着重要的角色，负责给父母介绍学校。中学生（MYP）不仅在家长面前演讲，还在答疑环节中跟老师一起回答家长的问题，并分享他们在学校的课堂体验。
As our homeroom teachers and TAs were hard at work teaching students last week, they still made every effort to prepare an impressive and informative presentation to parents. Students played an important role in helping the event by introducing the school to their parents. MYP students not only presented in front of their parents, but also took the responsibility to answer parents’ questions along with their teachers during the Q&A session and shared their experiences in different school programs.
我们希望所有学生都能得到所需的支持，以充分发挥他们在TWIS的学习潜能。今年，我们为符合条件的MYP学生提供浸入式英语课程（EIP）。EIP的演讲帮助了家长和学生更好的理解该课程，并解决家长提出的疑虑。
We want all students to get the support they need to reach their full learning potential at TWIS. This year, the English Immersion Program (EIP) is in place for eligible MYP students. The EIP presentation helped parents and students develop a better understanding of the program and addressed concerns raised by parents.

这次会面虽然短暂，但内容很丰富。TWIS的家长们借着这次机会可以体验和理解到学生上课的情况，以及与老师和其他学生的互动。对家长来说一下子要接收的信息可能很多，但我们很乐意帮助大家。我们将继续竭尽所能与家长建立密切的伙伴关系，共同努力支持学生的学习之旅。
未能前来参加活动的家庭，学校已经主动联系以便安排家长与老师的单独见面。TWIS重视家校沟通，能够在学期初尽快让家长和我们的教学员工建立一个开放的沟通途径是十分关键的。
The meeting was short but very fruitful. It allowed TWIS families to experience and understand what is happening in their children’s classrooms, as well as interact with their teachers and classmates. It can be a lot to take in all at once, but we are here to help. We will continue to do all we can to build close partnerships with families and work together to support students’ learning journey.
Families who were not able to come to the event were contacted so that individual meetings could be set-up between parents and teachers. We value home-school communication at TWIS, and it is important that as early as now that families and our academic staff are establishing an open communication pathway.
