亚加达国际预科AIC迎回了一位杰出的校友，Abby Ding，她目前就读于剑桥大学心理与行为科学（PBS）专业。在为期三周的特殊访问期间，Abby担任助教角色，为学弟学妹们提供了宝贵的学术支持和指导。她的回归不仅给在校学生带来了启发，也架起了他们与剑桥大学之间的直接联系。

AIC proudly welcomed back an esteemed alumna, Abby Ding, currently enrolled in the Psychology and Behavioral Sciences (PBS) program at the University of Cambridge. During her three-week visit, Abby served as a teaching assistant, offering vital academic guidance and support to her juniors. Her return not only inspired the students at AIC but also forged a direct connection between them and the University of Cambridge.

在AIC的IB课程学习里面，我的时间管理、自学能力和资料搜索能力获得了很大的提升，这也让我目前能勉强跟上剑桥的课业强度… 在IB的各种assignments里，我学会了合理规划自己的时间和精力，从不熬夜赶ddl或者复习，而是在白天最大限度地高效学习。

During my IB studies at AIC, I significantly improved my time management, self-study, and research skills, which has allowed me to keep pace with the demanding academic workload at Cambridge. Throughout various IB assignments, I learned to effectively plan my time and energy. Instead of pulling all-nighters to meet deadlines or cram for exams, I maximized my efficiency by focusing on studying during the day.

Life in Cambridge

我在剑桥的生活比较安逸。PBS的lectures一般都在上午结束，所以上完课后我就会呆在房间里赶essay，赶到天黑准备睡觉，或者出门逛逛小镇的夜景。参加各种社团social里面认识了许多有趣的朋友们。

My life in Cambridge is relatively comfortable, PBS lectures usually end in the morning, so after class I would stay in my room to catch up on my essays, catch up with the darkness and get ready for bed, or go out to stroll around the town at night. I met a lot of interesting people in various social clubs.

在剑桥最值得体验的活动之一就是formal啦，尤其是不久前学院的圣诞formal，教授组织大家一起唱圣诞颂歌，和邻座的同学聊天，和圣诞树拍照，很有节日氛围。同时，学院制的模式也很有意思——每个学院有自己的文化、历史、传统，和其他学院的学生交流起来都能收获很多趣闻。

One of the most worthwhile experiences at Cambridge is definitely attending a formal event, especially the recent Christmas formal at my college. The professors organized everyone to sing Christmas carols, chat with classmates sitting nearby, and take photos with the Christmas tree, creating a festive atmosphere. Additionally, the collegiate system is quite fascinating — each college has its own culture, history, and traditions, and interacting with students from other colleges always leads to discovering many interesting stories.

Abby discussed her interactions with classmates and professors, emphasizing the positive impact these had on her academic and personal development. She continued to pursue her hobbies at university by participating in various clubs and activities, such as the Jazz Dance Society.

She also reminisced about her extracurricular activities at AIC, including involvement in the student council and CAS projects, which enriched her high school life and laid a solid foundation for her university experience. Abby advises students who are about to apply for universities to come up with innovative and engaging ideas for their applications, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and keep a positive attitude.

在剑桥大学的寒假期间，Abby回到AIC担任助教，体验教学生活。这次回归让她对高中老师的工作有了更深的理解，同时也希望通过自己的经验对学弟妹们产生积极的影响。尽管她决定未来的职业道路不会是高中教师，但这段经历无疑为她的成长和未来提供了新的视角。

During the winter break at the University of Cambridge, Abby returned to AIC to serve as a teaching assistant and gain experience in teaching. This return visit deepened her understanding of the work of high school teachers and she hoped to positively influence her juniors with her experiences. Although she has decided that her future career path will not be in high school teaching, this experience undoubtedly provided her with new perspectives for her growth and future.
